An archer on horseback to right; a crescent to left; a pellet behind his back; a star below; all within an angled polylobe; around, ‘al-sulṭān al-aʿẓam Rukn al-Dunyā wa al-Dīn Qilij Arslān ibn Kay Khusraw qasīm Amīr al-Muʾminīn’ (‘The supreme sultan Rukn al-Dunya wa al-Din Qilij Arslān, son of Kay Khusraw, associate of the Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Mustaʿsim billah (AH 640-656 / AD 1242-1258) within an angled polylobe, ‘al-imām / al-Mustaʿṣim billāh / amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘Imam al-Mustaʿsim billah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); around, ‘ḍuriba hādhā al-dirham bi Sīwās fī sana sitt wa arbaʿīn wa sitta miʾa’ (‘This dirham was struck in Sivas in the year 646’ in Arabic).
